Australian electric motorcycle maker Savic Motorcycles won the Victorian Premier’s Design Award in 2022. The award was given to the Savic C-Series model.

The Savic C-Series received not only top honors but also product design category for the 1970s cafe racer style with electric drivetrain.

Savic is a company founded by Dennis Savic and based in Melbourne. So far, it is known to produce cafe racers with electric power and high performance.

Savic C-Series has a classic design line like a cafe racer in general. The Savic C-Series uses a powertrain frame and enclosure, made of recyclable cast aluminum. This model is equipped with a 16.7kWh battery and a 60kW motor that produces 200Nm of torque. With these specifications, the Savic C-Series can accelerate to 100km/h in 3.5 seconds.

“The Savic C-Series has been designed to perfection in every way,” said Celina Clarke, Chair of the Victorian Premier’s Design Award of the Year.

The C-Series can be ordered from $19,990 for the Delta and $26,990 for the Alpha.

Potential buyers can make a reservation through the company’s website with a deposit of $100. The first shipments begin in early 2023.
