Tires for electric vehicles require different specifications than those used in conventional motorized vehicles.

Electric vehicle tires require lower rolling resistance, better grip on asphalt and significantly lower noise.

Electric vehicles have different characteristics from conventional vehicles, for example in terms of traction and vehicle weight. The weight of an electric vehicle is quite large because it has to carry a battery pack weighing between 1 to 3 tons.

Traction on electric vehicles is sudden, more instantaneous than conventional vehicles, so it requires a different rubber compound from rubber for ordinary car tires.

The rubber compound must be strong against traction shocks. Rolling resistance, noise and wet grip are generally common requirements.
