Rivian has recently announced an exclusive deal for prospective R1T truck buyers, available for a limited time until December 21, 2023. This promotion coincides with the approaching holiday season and the impending release of the Cybertruck.
According to Rivian, purchasers of R1T trucks from existing inventory will be eligible to receive a complimentary Rivian Wall Charger, a deal valued at US$800. To sweeten the offer, Rivian has partnered with installation experts Qmerit, extending a substantial installation credit of up to US$2,000. Typically ranging between $800 and $2,000, Qmerit’s installation services effectively render Rivian’s deal cost-free for new R1T owners.

The Rivian Wall Charger boasts a J1772 connector, providing charging speeds of up to 11.5kW, accompanied by a 24-foot charging cord for added convenience.
Unlike the potential wait time associated with custom-built R1T trucks, which may take up to four months for delivery, inventory R1T vehicles are anticipated to reach most buyers within an expedited timeframe of 1–6 weeks.
This move by Rivian aims to capture the attention of EV enthusiasts and potentially divert interest away from competitors, particularly with the limited-time nature of the offer. As the electric vehicle market continues to evolve, such strategic promotions may play a pivotal role in influencing consumer choices.
