Rivian has lowered lease prices for its R1S electric SUV, making it a more competitive option in the EV market, including against Tesla’s recently introduced Model Y Launch Series.
The 2025 Rivian R1S Adventure Dual Standard, which starts at $75,900, is now available for lease at $599 per month for 36 months, with $8,493 due at signing. This marks a $200 reduction from the previous monthly lease price of $799. The deal applies to a 30,000-mile term and brings the R1S lease cost in line with the R1T pickup, despite the SUV having a $6,000 higher starting price.

Tesla’s Model Y Launch Series, priced at $59,990, carries a lease offer of $699 per month for 36 months, with $4,393 due at signing. The effective monthly cost of $821 is only slightly lower than the R1S at $834, despite a nearly $15,000 difference in their base prices.
Rivian is also providing an “All-Electric Upgrade Offer” of up to $6,000 for customers trading in gas-powered vehicles, though the incentive does not apply to base models. To qualify for the lease deal, orders must be placed by March 15, with delivery required by March 31, 2025.
