Tesla enthusiasts rejoice as the electric car giant introduces a highly detailed 1:18 scale diecast of the Model Y, now available on their online shop. The miniature replica comes to the market more than three and a half years post the initial launch of the full-sized electric SUV.

The Tesla Shop proudly boasts that the Model Y diecast is a faithful recreation, capturing every nuance, curve, and surface with precision. Utilizing the same 3D CAD data employed in manufacturing the actual Model Y vehicles, this miniature version promises an authentic experience. However, keen-eyed fans may notice some intriguing inaccuracies, such as the front bumper featuring two tow eyes instead of the accurate one, and the rear bumper lacking a tow eye when the real vehicle sports one.

Crafted with over 180 metal and plastic parts, the 1:18 scale Model Y diecast showcases an unprecedented level of detail. The interior is no exception, featuring fabric seat belts adorned with buckle details, a carpeted trunk and interior, and an impressive panoramic glass roof. Functionality is key, as the doors, front trunk, and rear liftgate can be opened and closed, offering a hands-on and immersive experience. The inclusion of rubber tires and steerable wheels ensures a smooth and realistic rolling encounter.

Quality comes at a price, with the 1:18 scale Model Y diecast priced at $265 in Canada and $195 in the US. However, enthusiasts may need to compromise on color choices, as the miniature is currently only available in three options: red, white, and blue. Tesla aficionados and collectors alike now have the opportunity to bring home a meticulously crafted piece of the electric revolution.
