Porsche’s executive reshuffle is expected to continue with the planned early departure of Head of Production Albrecht Reimold, according to Handelsblatt, which cited company and supervisory board sources.
The report said Reimold could leave the sports car manufacturer as early as Sept. 1, 2026, several months before his contract is due to expire in early 2027.
Supervisory Board Decision Expected
According to the report, Porsche’s supervisory board is scheduled to consider the matter during its meeting on July 22.
The reported departure would follow changes to Porsche’s executive board earlier this year, when Michael Leiters succeeded Oliver Blume as chief executive officer. Blume continues to serve as chief executive of Volkswagen Group.
The leadership changes come as Porsche faces softer sales in China and continued pressure from higher operating costs.
Successor Yet to Be Confirmed
The report said Reimold’s successor is expected to help present Porsche’s long-term strategy alongside the company’s management team during its Capital Markets Day scheduled for Oct. 7.
According to the report, the leading candidates to replace Reimold are Wolfram Kirchert, who heads Volkswagen’s Bratislava production plant, and Christian Friedel, Porsche’s head of quality assurance.
