Renault showcased an extensive range of electric vehicles at the Paris Motor Show, including a diverse collection of transport concepts alongside the debut of the Renault 4 E-Tech. The company’s display highlighted innovations designed for various modes of transportation, from road to air and sea.
In addition to unveiling the R4 E-Tech, Renault introduced four electric transport concepts developed in collaboration with several French startups. These concepts are available for pre-order and are expected to enter limited production by next spring, coinciding with the release of the R4 E-Tech.
The new electric offerings include a retro-designed caravan, a two-seat electric airplane, an electric jet ski, and an electric motorcycle. Each vehicle exemplifies Renault’s commitment to e-mobility across different transport sectors. “For the reveal of Renault 4 E-Tech electric, we are proud to be partnering with four French start-ups presenting four all-electric means of mobility,” said Arnaud Belloni, Global Chief Marketing Officer of Renault Brand. “It’s a stylish way to show the general public how e-mobility has developed to encompass all forms of transport, including the 4L, which is now Renault 4 E-Tech electric.”
The electric aircraft, developed with Toulouse-based startup Aura Aero, features a wingspan of 8.78 meters and a flight time of one hour, with charging capabilities reported to be under thirty minutes. Meanwhile, the retro-designed caravan trailer, created in partnership with Carapate Adventure, includes a bed that converts into a sofa and an indoor-outdoor kitchen, weighing in at 560 kg.
Ateliers HeritageBike designed the electric motorcycle, the Heritage Spirit Scrambler, which is inspired by 1980s aesthetics. It boasts a 7 kW motor generating 280 Nm of torque, paired with a battery capacity of up to 4.6 kWh, providing a standard range of 110 km. Lastly, the electric jet ski, branded as the ‘Seacruiser’ by Searider, is designed as a water e-bike and can reach speeds of up to 55 kph, powered by two 22 kW electric motors and offering a runtime of 90 minutes, catering to both sports enthusiasts and novices.
