Renault has opened UK orders for updated versions of its Scenic E-Tech and Megane E-Tech electric vehicles, with prices starting at £33,245 and £28,245 respectively after the full £3,750 UK Electric Car Grant.
The UK launch follows the introduction of the revised models in continental Europe. Renault opened orders for the updated Scenic in France in September, followed later that month by the Scenic and Megane in Germany.
The Megane starts at €34,990 in Germany, while the Scenic is priced from €42,590. However, direct comparisons between the UK and German prices are complicated by differences in national incentives, with the UK prices quoted after the Electric Car Grant.
Renault Scenic E-Tech Gains Longer Range
The updated Scenic E-Tech is available with an 89 kWh battery in the 220 Long Range version, increasing its WLTP range to as much as 642 km (399 miles).
Maximum DC charging power remains at 150 kW, but Renault has improved the charging curve. The 15–80% charging time has been reduced from 37 minutes to 28 minutes.
A 67 kWh LFP battery option is also planned for the Scenic range at a later stage.
For the UK market, the Scenic E-Tech is available in Techno, Techno Esprit Alpine and Iconic Esprit Alpine specifications. The entry-level Techno version starts at £33,245 after the Electric Car Grant.
Updated Megane E-Tech Adds LFP Battery
The updated Megane E-Tech receives a new 67 kWh LFP battery, replacing the previous 60 kWh pack. The change increases the model’s maximum WLTP range to 493 km (306 miles).
Charging performance has also been upgraded, with maximum DC charging power increasing from 130 kW to 165 kW. Renault quotes a 15–80% charging time of 24 minutes.
UK customers can order the updated Megane E-Tech in Techno and Esprit Alpine trims, with prices starting at £28,245 after application of the £3,750 Electric Car Grant.
Scenic and Megane Receive Technology Updates
Both electric models receive exterior and interior revisions alongside updates to their driver assistance systems.
The Scenic E-Tech and Megane E-Tech also feature Renault’s latest openR link infotainment system, which incorporates Google services and integrations.
The refreshed models therefore combine updated styling and technology with changes to their battery and charging specifications, while Renault is continuing to expand its electric vehicle offering across European markets.
