Renault has opened early access to its upcoming Twingo E-Tech Electric through a new ‘R Pass’ program, allowing customers to pre-order the model ahead of its official unveiling on November 6, 2025. The French automaker has also released the first teaser images of the production-ready version of its compact, retro-inspired electric vehicle.

The Twingo E-Tech Electric, developed in just two years, draws design inspiration from the original 1990s Twingo. Renault says the model will combine “a cheerful design with practical urban mobility,” offering a range of up to 250 km and an expected starting price of under €20,000. Built on the AmpR Small platform, the EV retains the one-box proportions and curved lines of its predecessor while promising a spacious and modular interior.

To reward early adopters, the ‘R Pass’—priced at €100 in Italy—offers priority access to pre-orders, test drives, and early deliveries. Buyers will also receive a 1/43 scale model of the Twingo, a special key cover, and exclusive event invitations. The pass launches across Europe in phases: from October 13 in Belgium, Spain, the Netherlands, and Germany; October 15 in the UK; and October 22 in France.

In Italy, Renault has already introduced an attractive promotional offer, advertising the Twingo E-Tech Electric from €9,900 for buyers eligible for the national EV subsidy program. The reduced price applies only to the first 700 orders and to households meeting specific conditions, including an income below €30,000 and scrapping an older vehicle.

Renault described the upcoming city EV as “small on the outside, but big on the inside,” emphasizing comfort, efficiency, and accessibility. The model’s full LED headlights, gloss-black front grille, and smiling face evoke the charm of the first-generation Twingo—reimagined for the electric era.
