Ram Dealers Get Exclusive Sneak Peek at Second Mid-Size Electric Pickup Truck Concept

Ram Trucks, a brand under Stellantis, has given its dealers an exclusive look at its second mid-size electric pickup truck concept. The upcoming electric vehicle (EV) resembles the Ram Revolution concept, which was showcased at the Consumer Electronics Show in January. The Revolution concept featured unique features like detachable third-row seating, grand saloon doors, and powered, automatic steps. Stellantis CEO Carlos Tavares claimed that the EV would outperform all competitors in terms of towing, range, payload, and charge time.

Ram’s first electric truck, the 2025 Ram 1500 REV, was unveiled in production form during the Super Bowl in February. Despite not including many of the concept features, the truck generated enough attention that the automaker closed reservations after only five days. The success has led to Ram’s next project, which is aimed at the mid-size electric pickup market. Dealers who were shown an exclusive sneak peek at the concept say that it looks like a Ram and resembles the automaker’s first concept.

The mid-size truck market is seeing a resurgence in demand, and Ram’s second electric pickup is designed to fill the gap left after discontinuing the Dakota in 2011. According to Randy Rye, a dealer and former Stellantis dealer council chairman, the mid-size electric pickup truck “surpassed his expectations” and was “spectacular.” Rye added that Ram is “going back in that game” and that the mid-size truck looks like a Ram.

The news of Ram’s second electric pickup truck comes after Ford announced plans for a second electric truck at its BlueOval City EV mega-campus. With the electric vehicle market heating up, competition is increasing, and automakers are looking to develop new and innovative vehicles to stay ahead of the game.
