Qualcomm Technologies and French automotive supplier Valeo said on Tuesday they are broadening their collaboration to jointly deliver scalable Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS) and Automated Driving (AD) platforms, aiming to speed up automakers’ transition toward software-defined vehicles.

The strengthened partnership combines Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Ride™ SoCs and Ride Flex platforms with Valeo’s expertise in sensors, system integration, and automotive software. The companies said the integrated platform is designed to provide automakers with a pre-validated, production-ready system that reduces complexity and accelerates time-to-market for next-generation vehicles.

The offering will support a wide range of driving functions, including hands-off driving on highways, automated parking, driver and occupant monitoring, and compliance with NCAP 5-star safety requirements. It also integrates cybersecurity and functional safety standards, while consolidating both ADAS and infotainment capabilities into a single system powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Ride Flex SoCs.

“Together with Valeo, we are addressing the growing demand for scalable, safety-centric ADAS and Automated Driving solutions,” said Nakul Duggal, Group General Manager, Automotive & Industrial and Embedded IoT at Qualcomm. Valeo’s Marc Vrecko, CEO of Valeo Brain, added that the collaboration “empowers automakers with a flexible, future-ready platform that meets the evolving expectations of drivers worldwide.”
