Puckipuppy has unveiled the Rottweiler, a new electric tricycle designed to compete in the premium e-trike segment. The model, now available through the company’s official website, features a full suspension system, a 960 W peak power motor and a 720 Wh battery, with the company claiming a range of up to 55 miles (88 km) on a single charge.
The Rottweiler is built on a low step-through aluminum frame capable of carrying payloads of up to 500 lbs (226.7 kg). Unlike folding models such as Velotric’s Triker, the Rottweiler emphasizes stability and comfort, pairing 20 x 4-inch fat tires with hydraulic brakes and dual suspension.
Puckipuppy has also introduced a butterfly-style handlebar that provides riders with multiple grip positions, along with a 4.7-inch HD display that shows speed, battery levels, and motor output.
Powered by a 750 W nominal motor (960 W peak) with torque sensing, the Rottweiler reaches a top speed of 15 mph (25 km/h). A 48 V 15 Ah (720 Wh) removable battery supplies the system, and riders can switch between pedal-assist and throttle modes.
The trike is equipped with Shimano’s 7-speed drivetrain, a thumb throttle, and a reverse gear operated by thumb control. Additional features include rear turn signals, a parking brake, and a corrosion-resistant chain.
Available in blue and black finishes, the Rottweiler is priced at $2,399. Puckipuppy is positioning the model against rivals such as Buzz and Velotric in the growing electric tricycle market. Orders are open through the company’s website.
