Porsche’s Chief Executive Officer, Oliver Blume revealed the possibility of undertaking a collaborative project with technology company Apple.

“We already have Apple CarPlay, we will expand it,” Oliver Blume said during a video conference on Friday (18/3/2022), quoted from Carscoops.

He said Porsche and Apple have been working together for a long time. But it may be too early to make decisions about future projects.

“Porsche is also currently considering whether to enter Formula One. But no decision has been made,” said Blume.

As is known, Apple has several times changed partners for the development of electric cars that will be born. Starting from Asian car manufacturers to Europe. So far nothing has been realized.

Apple is even rumored to have held talks with a number of major manufacturers such as the BMW Group, Hyundai Motor Group, Nissan and Toyota. However, it didn’t seem to work, so there was a break in the plan to work together.

According to sources, Apple is currently requesting information about spare parts from suppliers and intends to build its own Research and Development (R&D) center. This means that the company is expected to develop its own car without cooperating with established car manufacturers.
