Porsche has launched its first Charging Lounge in Switzerland, marking the Stuttgart-based brand’s seventh proprietary site across the DACH region. Located in Signy-Avenex near Nyon, the new facility includes six direct current (DC) fast-charging stations, each capable of delivering up to 400 kW of power and operating exclusively for Porsche vehicles.
The new site expands Porsche’s presence in Western Switzerland, catering to EV drivers traveling between Germany and France via the A1 motorway that connects Lausanne and Geneva. The company’s charging lounge initiative began in 2023 with the opening of its first location in Bingen am Rhein, Germany. Since then, additional lounges have been introduced in Estenfeld, Leonberg, Ingolstadt, Hamburg-Rahlstedt, and Koblach in Austria.
The Signy-Avenex Charging Lounge reflects a shift in Porsche’s infrastructure strategy. Unlike previous lounges, which follow a uniform design language, the Swiss site uses a newly introduced modular concept that allows for quicker construction and better adaptability to local site conditions. This new concept was developed in collaboration with Studio F.A. Porsche.
The facility features amenities designed to enhance the customer experience, including indoor seating areas, outdoor sound zones, and 24/7 surveillance. Access to the charging and lounge areas is granted through a Porsche ID. Charging is priced at 0.39 CHF per kilowatt-hour, billed via the Porsche Charging Service, which now covers more than 900,000 charging points across Europe—including approximately 75,000 high-power chargers.
Porsche has also added Swiss charging provider GoFast to its Charging Service network, aiming to further improve convenience and coverage in the Alpine region. The company said the Signy-Avenex site helps address the growing demand for premium fast-charging infrastructure in Switzerland and Western Europe.
