Polestar plans to expand its retail presence in Sweden by opening ten new sales locations over the next three months, the company announced on Tuesday. The expansion aims to improve customer access to its electric vehicle lineup, including the Polestar 3 and Polestar 4, while aligning with its broader global strategy.

The company is partnering with four new retailers—Bilbolaget Nord, Tage Rejmes Bil AB, Helmia Car, and Bilia—to introduce sales points in cities such as Gävle, Sundsvall, Umeå, Linköping, Norrköping, Örebro, Karlstad, Eskilstuna, Västerås, and Jägersro in Malmö. Some locations, including Bilbolaget Nord in Umeå, have already begun accepting orders, while the full rollout is expected by April 2025.

“The expansion of our retail network follows the expansion of the company’s product portfolio with the new models Polestar 3 and Polestar 4,” said Gustav Freij, Head of Sweden at Polestar. “We are therefore pleased to be able to add many new partners in the coming time, which means we get closer to customers and can offer even more people the opportunity to experience our electric performance cars.”

Polestar reported a 62.4% increase in sales in 2024, according to Mobility Sweden, delivering 5,909 vehicles over the year. In January 2025, the company accounted for 8.36% of Sweden’s electric vehicle market, ranking as the third-largest brand in the segment.
