Polestar has begun deliveries of its Polestar 4 electric SUV coupe to customers in the United States, extending the model’s global rollout after earlier launches in China, Europe and Australia.

The Polestar 4 is the fourth model from the Geely-owned, Swedish-designed electric vehicle brand. It was unveiled in 2023 and entered production in China later that year, with customer deliveries starting in Europe and Australia in 2024. U.S. deliveries began this week, following a longer wait for North American customers.

The first U.S. handover took place at Polestar Miami in Florida, the company’s newest retail location. Polestar said deliveries are continuing across its U.S. retail network and are expected to scale up in the coming weeks.

The Polestar 4 now joins the Polestar 3 SUV in the U.S. lineup, giving the brand two electric SUVs available for immediate delivery in the region. “Polestar 4 plays a pivotal role in our brand’s lineup alongside the built-in-the-U.S. Polestar 3,” said Rick Bryant, head of Polestar North America.

The Polestar 4 is positioned as a mid-size electric SUV coupe and is offered in single-motor rear-wheel-drive and dual-motor all-wheel-drive configurations. The long-range single-motor version produces around 200 kW (272 hp) and offers a WLTP range of up to about 610 km, while the dual-motor variant delivers up to 400 kW (544 hp) with a range of around 590 km, depending on specification. Both versions use a 100 kWh battery pack.

The model supports DC fast charging of up to 200 kW, enabling a 10% to 80% charge in around 30 minutes under optimal conditions. Polestar 4 accelerates from 0–100 km/h in as little as 3.8 seconds in its dual-motor configuration.

A notable design feature of the Polestar 4 is the absence of a traditional rear window, replaced by a rear-facing camera feeding a digital mirror. Inside, the vehicle features a 15.4-inch central touchscreen, a digital driver display and advanced driver-assistance systems, including Pilot Assist.
