Polestar has reintroduced the Polestar 2 to the Canadian market, offering a single Long Range Dual Motor variant priced from CA$69,900 (US$50,328) as the company expands its presence with a three-model lineup in the country.

The return of the electric fastback completes Polestar’s Canadian portfolio, which now includes the Polestar 2, Polestar 3 SUV, and Polestar 4 coupe SUV. Orders for the 2027 model are now open.

Single Fully Equipped Configuration

For the Canadian market, Polestar is offering the Polestar 2 exclusively in a Long Range Dual Motor configuration.

The model delivers 310 kW of power, accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds, and offers an EPA-estimated driving range of 447 kilometers.

Polestar said the vehicle is available with a simplified specification that bundles previously optional equipment into a single package. The configuration includes the Pilot, Plus, and Climate packs, 19-inch Aero wheels, and a choice of five exterior colors.

Updated Infotainment System

The 2027 Polestar 2 introduces an upgraded Qualcomm Snapdragon processor for the infotainment system.

According to the company, the new chip improves system responsiveness, enables faster app performance, and shortens download times.

The update is intended to enhance the user experience while maintaining the vehicle’s existing software and connectivity features.

Completing the Canadian Lineup

Polestar said the return of the Polestar 2 strengthens its position in Canada by providing customers with a broader range of electric vehicle options across different segments and price points.

“With Polestar 2 re-entering the Canadian market alongside Polestar 3 and Polestar 4, the brand now stands strong with a more complete three-car line-up to meet the needs of customers in this ultra-competitive market,” said Hugues Bissonnette, head of Polestar Canada.

“With over 7,300 Polestar 2s on Canadian roads to date, we know there’s demand from our customers, so it’s with great joy we announce the return of Polestar 2 to Canada.”

Expanding EV Choices

The reintroduction comes as competition in Canada’s premium electric vehicle segment continues to intensify.

With more than 7,300 Polestar 2 vehicles already operating in Canada, the company is seeking to build on its existing customer base while offering a more accessible entry point to the brand’s lineup compared with its larger Polestar 3 and Polestar 4 models.

Polestar said the streamlined specification is designed to simplify purchasing decisions while delivering a comprehensive package of features and technology.
