Polestar has announced a series of updates for the 2026 model year of its Polestar 2 electric vehicle, featuring a more powerful processor, an optional high-end Bowers & Wilkins audio system, and enhanced charging functionality. The latest version is now available for order in Europe, with other markets to follow.
The updated Polestar 2 integrates a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, which improves the responsiveness of the infotainment system, enabling faster app downloads, quicker navigation, and smoother interactions on the center display.

For customers seeking an upgraded audio experience, Polestar is introducing a Bowers & Wilkins for Polestar system as an optional addition. This setup includes 14 speakers and 1,350 watts of output, featuring Tweeter-on-Top technology for refined sound clarity and Continuum midrange speakers designed to minimize distortion. The system is visually distinguished by branded detailing on the front door panels and stainless-steel mesh on the rear doors.
A new exterior color, Dune, joins the lineup, offering a metallic finish with a warm, sandy hue. The Performance Pack now includes redesigned 20-inch forged alloy wheels, engineered to be the lightest option for Polestar 2 to date. Interior updates include a new bio-attributed MicroTech upholstery in Charcoal with quilted detailing, complemented by Black Ash deco, available with the Plus Pack.

“Polestar 2 continues to evolve with each model year, introducing refinements in technology, design, and user experience,” said Polestar CEO Michael Lohscheller. “The addition of a faster processor, premium audio, and improved charging convenience further strengthens its appeal.”
The Plug & Charge function, previously introduced in Polestar 3, is now available on Polestar 2. This feature allows for automatic authentication at compatible public charging stations, removing the need for separate apps or RFID cards.
A new Prime Pack is also available, combining the Pilot, Plus, and Climate packs along with rear privacy glass, providing a bundled option for added convenience. The tinting is applied to both the rear side windows and the tailgate.
