Phoenix Motor Inc. is preparing to unveil its fourth-generation medium-duty electric drive system for fleet operations at the upcoming Advanced Clean Transportation (ACT) Expo, held at the Anaheim Convention Center. The event is scheduled to run from May 1st to May 4th, and Phoenix will proudly present its latest product at booth #5364.
According to Phoenix, the Gen 4 system boasts an innovative chassis layout that optimizes the placement of battery packs. These packs are strategically attached to both the front and rear of the frame rails, effectively maximizing the use of space. This design modification enhances ground clearance, making it particularly suitable for fleets and depot hubs that encounter diverse road conditions.
The Gen 4 vehicles will come equipped with a 90-kWh battery pack, granting them an impressive range of up to 150 miles. Recharging the batteries using a 100-kW Level III charger takes only one to two hours to achieve a full charge. Compared to their counterparts powered by internal combustion engines, these new vehicles are projected to reduce atmospheric emissions by approximately 61 tons per vehicle annually. Moreover, they are anticipated to decrease maintenance costs by 75% and fuel expenses by 80%.
Phoenix has also introduced various charging options, including V2G (vehicle-to-grid) technology and wireless charging capabilities. Additionally, the company plans to unveil its groundbreaking Phoenix Exchange battery swap station, with live demonstrations scheduled to take place at a special event at their corporate headquarters in Anaheim on May 3rd, starting at 5:30 pm, immediately following the ACT Expo. The innovative battery swap station can replace a 90-kWh battery system in less than a minute, providing active fleets and last-mile delivery service providers with an “unlimited mile range” solution.
“Phoenix Motorcars is excited to showcase our latest Gen 4 vehicle at the ACT Expo and extend an invitation to those interested in witnessing and learning more about our groundbreaking battery swap station. We encourage them to join us at our headquarters for a special event,” remarked Dr. Lance Zhou, CEO of Phoenix Motorcars.
