Peugeot to produce 100% electric cars by 2025 in Europe

As part of the Stellantis group, Peugeot seems to want to show that it is serious about penetrating the market, especially electric cars.

The Peugeot 308 PHEV, which was launched, is claimed to help shift 70% of all models offered by Peugeot electric.

The 70% gain is a combination of the line-up of passenger cars and commercial cars offered by Peugeot.

The target is that by 2023, 85% of the entire Peugeot line-up will be electrified and will reach 100% by 2025 for the European region.

ā€œThe electrification range will allow our customers to choose the type of engine they want, and best suit their needs,ā€ said Linda Jackson, Peugeot Chief Executive Officer.

Fully electric passenger cars come from the Peugeot e-208 and e-2008, hybrid variants offered by the Peugeot 3008 PHEV, 508 PHEV, 508 SW PHEV, to the Peugeot 308 PHEV and 308 SW PHEV.

Commercial cars come from the Peugeot e-Partner, e-Expert, e-Boxer, and what they are working on is the Peugeot h-Expert which will use hydrogen technology.

ā€œLEV (Low Emission Vehicles) models represent 1 in 4 passenger car sales in Europe in the first half of 2022,ā€ said JĆ©rĆ“me Micheron, Peugeot product director.
