Onto, a British company with a focus on electric car subscription services, added 600 electric cars from Peugeot to its fleet this month. Orders from Onto consisted of 300 units of e-208 and 300 units of e-2008, respectively.

Both models ordered by Onto rely on electric drives commonly used by car brands under Stellantis. Both models use front wheels driven by a 100 kW e-motor supplied by Vitesco.

It uses a 50 kWh battery installed as a power store, of which about 45 kWh can be used. For the e-208, the paired battery delivers a range of 225 miles according to WLTP; for e-2008, 214 miles .

In November 2020, Onto ordered the first e-208 from Peugeot, while the first e-2008 was ordered by Onto in May 2021.

ā€œThe Peugeot e-208 and e-2008 have both been extremely popular with our customers and consistently booked out since joining the fleet. These new cars will ensure we can keep up with the growing demand as our customer base expands and more people make the switch to electric.ā€ said Rob Jolly, CEO and Co-founder of Onto

Onto previously ordered 600 Fiat 500e to complement its fleet of electric vehicles including the Audi e-Tron and Hyundai Kona Electric and more than a thousand Renault Zoes.

Onto has also ordered 700 Fisker Oceans, but production of these vehicles will only start in November this year.

The subscription service offered by Onto is currently enjoyed by more than 6,000 active subscribers. Not only do customers have a large choice of electric cars, they are also covered with insurance, service, damage cover, and free public charging.

According to Onto, more than 12,500 chargers across the UK are included in the free public charging offering.
