Ola Electric is now in the top spot in India’s fast-growing electric vehicle (EV) market, just five months after launching its first e-scooter.

According to government data, Ola recorded sales of 12,689 units of e-scooters in April, higher than the achievement of the biggest electric scooter player so far, Hero Electric.

According to government data, Ola recorded sales of 12,689 units of e-scooters in April, higher than the achievement of the biggest electric scooter player so far, Hero Electric.

“OLa grabbed the number 1 market share. We rocked the incumbents. They’d rather focus on their product than a false narrative against us.” said CEO Ola Bhavish Aggarwal.

Ola is also gearing up to launch its e-scooter in the global market, and has revealed plans to launch an electric car in 2024.
