Electric scooter giant NIU has launched two new models just in time for the back-to-school season. The NIU KQi 100P and KQi 100F scooters offer a budget-friendly option for urban commuters, with price tags that are surprisingly low for a company known for its high-quality electric vehicles. The KQi 100P debuts at a competitive $349 MSRP, while the more compact KQi 100F is priced at $449.

Both scooters share many of the same core features, including 48V 252 Wh battery packs, 600W peak-rated rear motors, and top speeds of 28 km/h (17.4 mph). They also boast a maximum range of 29 km (18 miles) per charge and come equipped with 9” pneumatic tires designed to tackle inclines of up to 15%.

The KQi 100F stands out with folding handlebars for added portability and is available at major retailers like BestBuy and Amazon, while the KQi 100P marks NIU’s debut at Kohl’s.

“By partnering with retail giants like Best Buy, Kohl’s, and Walmart, we are setting a new standard for affordability and performance in the e-mobility space,” said Ben McGill, Head of North America at NIU. “The KQi 100 series offers mid-tier scooter performance at a price point hundreds of dollars lower than competitors.”

Despite the lower price, both scooters include advanced features such as front suspension forks, smart app integration, anti-theft GPS tracking, and customizable regenerative braking. Built with robust aluminum frames, the scooters weigh 17.5 kg (38.5 lbs) and are rated for riders up to 120 kg (264 lbs), making them suitable for a wide range of users.

Available now, the KQi 100 series is positioned as an affordable, feature-packed solution for students and budget-conscious commuters alike.
