Nissan officially revealed 2023 Leaf electric hatchback

Nissan through its official website has just revealed the upcoming 2023 Leaf electric hatchback. The 2023 Nissan Leaf will be sold alongside the Ariya crossover, which is the second EV Nissan has sold.

There are important upgrades from 2023 Leaf over the previous version. One thing that stands out is a fresher exterior design and a revised model lineup to provide more value for EV buyers.

The 2023 Nissan Leaf will make its official debut at the 2022 New York International Auto Show. Nissan expects the 2023 Leaf to go on sale this summer of 2022.

The 2023 Nissan Leaf comes in two trim levels: S and SV Plus. The more expensive 2023 SV Plus gets new 17-inch 5-spoke aluminum alloy wheels. There is also Nissan ProPilot Assist4, which is a direct driver assistance system.

2023 Nissan Leaf refreshed exterior design with updated front end, grille, bumper and headlights.

Nissan said the focus is on improving the aerodynamics of electric cars. Meanwhile for the changes on the interior side is very minimal.

The Leaf S 2023 uses a 40 kWh battery and a 110 kW motor which combine to produce 147 horsepower. The SV Plus uses a 60 kWh battery, a 160 kW motor that produces 214 horsepower.

The Nissan Leaf’s estimated 2023 range will be announced at the official debut event, although it should closely match the 2022 model’s electric range.
