Nissan Leaf is an electric vehicle with a compact five-door hatchback type produced by Nissan. The first generation of the Nissan Leaf was introduced in Japan and the United States in December 2010. Currently, the Nissan Leaf which is being marketed is the second generation introduced in October 2017.

The Nissan Leaf has a familiar five-door hatchback design. The body has a sharp V-shape with large headlights that tilt upwards. The headlights are seen to split and direct the airflow away from the rearview mirror, and the underside of the car has aerodynamic panels. The battery which is the heaviest component is under the seat and rear legroom. This location of the battery keeps the center of gravity as low as possible and provides the car with better structural rigidity.
