The presence of Nissan Sakura in the metaverse, marks the company’s ambition to expand its target consumers in the digital market. The rapid development of the metaverse makes Nissan attracted to try this virtual technology to attract the attention of its consumers.

“The opening of the Sakura metaverse has been designed to provide a unique experience, with immersive sound and light effects. It will be streamed simultaneously on Youtube in Japanese,” Nissan said in a press release.

Reporting from the Meta News site, the release of the Nissan Sakura in the metaverse was carried out after the mini van with electric technology launched on the Japanese automotive market, to be precise on May 20, 2022. With the presence of the Nissan Sakura in the metaverse, buyers can now try a virtual test drive of the Sakura mini van just by visiting Nissan Crossing, located in Ginza, Tokyo.

By providing this virtual opportunity, it is hoped that consumers can experience a unique and immersive driving experience before they officially buy a Sakura car.

“We believe this will be a game changer for the Japanese market and will make EVs more accessible to customers in Japan.” said Asako Hoshino, Nissan’s executive vice president.
