The Nissan Ariya has attained an impressive 5-star rating and has confidently achieved a Weighted Overall Index of 9.6 at Green NCAP. This independent initiative aims to recognize car manufacturers and models that surpass minimum sustainability requirements and cause minimal harm to the environment.
Green NCAP employs a rigorous testing process that thoroughly examines all aspects of a car’s sustainability credentials. The assessment consists of three distinct sections: Clean Air Tests, Energy Efficiency Tests, and Greenhouse Gases Tests. These evaluations are then used to calculate the model’s overall score.

Due to its absence of a tailpipe, the Nissan Ariya effortlessly achieved a perfect 10/10 score in the Clean Air Index test. This outstanding performance encompasses both the Laboratory Test and the Road Test, which are the two main components of the Clean Air Index. Additionally, the Ariya received high scores of 9.3/10 and 9.5/10 in the Energy Efficiency Index and Greenhouse Gas Index sections, respectively.
During the standard On-Road Drive conducted in cold weather at -1°C, the Ariya exhibited a consumption rate of approximately 24 kWh per 62 miles. The Green NCAP measured the usable battery capacity to be 89.6 kWh, surpassing the officially declared value. When charged at 11 kW, the overall efficiency reached an impressive 91.6%, marking it as the “highest value measured by Green NCAP so far,” as stated in their report.
