Nio’s sub-brand Onvo has launched a special edition of its L60 midsize sport utility vehicle to mark the upcoming Chinese Lunar Year of the Horse, the company said.
The limited-time “Ma Dao Cheng Gong” edition of the five-seat L60 is priced at 218,900 yuan ($31,420), including the battery pack, representing a premium of 12,000 yuan, or about 5.8%, over the standard model. Under Onvo’s battery-as-a-service (BaaS) scheme, the vehicle starts at 161,900 yuan, with a monthly battery rental fee of 599 yuan.

The phrase “Ma Dao Cheng Gong” is a traditional Chinese expression associated with swift success and good fortune. Onvo said the edition is time-limited but not capped in volume and is available for immediate delivery.
Compared with the base L60, the special edition includes gold exterior paint, 20-inch wheels and a Year of the Horse-themed luxury interior as standard features. Onvo values the added equipment at 23,700 yuan.
The launch comes ahead of the 2026 Chinese Lunar New Year, which begins on Feb. 17 and ushers in the Year of the Horse. The L60 is Onvo’s first production model, initially launched on Sept. 19, 2024, with an updated version introduced a year later to mark its first anniversary.

Onvo has since expanded its lineup with the L90 large SUV, unveiled in July last year, and has increasingly used special editions to maintain market visibility without undertaking full model refreshes.
The L60 “Ma Dao Cheng Gong” edition follows earlier variants such as the Violet Edition and Black Knight Edition.
