Nio has revealed detailed specifications of its debut model under the sub-brand Onvo (known as Ledao in China), the L60, following recent disclosures in a regulatory document.

According to information from China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), the standard-range variant of the Onvo L60 will be equipped with a 60.6 kWh battery pack, offering a CLTC range between 501 and 555 kilometers. This update comes after Nio initially launched the Onvo sub-brand on May 15, commencing pre-sales of the L60 at RMB 219,900 ($30,220), excluding battery costs.

Initially withholding battery specifics during the launch, Nio previously indicated CLTC ranges of 555 kilometers for the standard-range version and over 730 kilometers for the long-range variant of the Onvo L60.

A regulatory filing on June 13 disclosed that the Onvo L60 will utilize lithium iron phosphate batteries sourced from FinDreams Battery, BYD’s battery division. Unlike Nio’s primary brand, which exclusively offers dual-motor models, the Onvo L60 will be available in both single and dual-motor configurations.

The latest MIIT catalog lists two models for the Onvo L60, NAL6483BSEVZ1 and NAL6483BSEVZ2, consistent with the June 13 filing. Each model features a 60.6 kWh battery pack weighing 439 kg, indicating an energy density of 138 Wh/kg.

The single-motor variant, NAL6483BSEVZ1, offers CLTC range options of 525 km and 555 km, potentially influenced by tire specifications. Meanwhile, the dual-motor model, NAL6483BSEVZ2, provides CLTC range options of 501 km and 525 km.

Performance-wise, the single-motor Onvo L60 is powered by a rear motor generating up to 240 kW, achieving a top speed of 200 km/h. In contrast, the dual-motor version includes a front motor with peak power of 100 kW, enabling a top speed of 203 km/h.

Nio previously announced a tentative launch and delivery timeframe for the Onvo L60 in September, with reports from local media outlet Internet Info Agency suggesting an official launch date of September 10.
