Nio has released its operational report for May, revealing significant milestones and user habits within its vehicle replenishment system. The report showcases Nio’s commitment to innovation and user experience in the electric vehicle (EV) market.
In May, Nio provided 2.11 million battery swap services, averaging 68,084 services per day. This translates to a vehicle getting a fully charged battery via battery swap every 1.26 seconds, demonstrating the efficiency of Nio’s battery swap stations.
Each Nio user used the battery swap service six times on average in May, with each swap taking about three minutes. Since the service’s inception, Nio has accumulated approximately 45.24 million battery swap services.
Nio continues to expand its charging infrastructure, with 80.1 percent of owners able to find a battery swap station within 3 kilometers of their home or office. The company had 2,270 supercharging stations and 1,594 destination charging stations in China at the end of May, providing a total of 22,595 charging stalls.
In May, 55.4 percent of the energy replenished by Nio customers came from battery swap stations, highlighting the popularity and convenience of this service. Nio also provided 1.89 million charging services in May, serving more than 190 brands of EVs to date.
Nio’s commitment to customer satisfaction is evident in its battery upgrade services, with 18,312 upgrades provided in May, bringing the cumulative number to 232,026.
The company’s strong performance in May extended to vehicle deliveries, with 20,544 vehicles delivered, marking a 233.78 percent year-on-year increase and a 31.52 percent increase from April. Nio’s cumulative deliveries since inception now stand at 515,811 vehicles.
