Nio has just announced that it has started production of its ET7 electric sedan. The Nio ET7 itself began production at the Nio and JAC factories in Hefei.
The electric vehicle manufacturer from China said increasing production capacity is important, because the ET7 will also be offered in Europe this year.
The Nio ET7 itself will begin shipping to consumers in China on March 28. Delivery times for Nio ET7 can vary greatly, depending on the Covid-19 pandemic conditions in each region.
Nio offers two ET7 models, a “general version” and a “first edition”, available at pre-subsidized prices of $70,300 and $82,668, respectively. If the customer chooses the BaaS (Battery-as-a-Service) battery rental service, the initial price will be reduced by at least RMB 70,000”.
ET7 is the first sedan produced by Nio that uses the NT2.0 platform. The Nio ET7 was first introduced to the public at the NIO Day 2020 event in January 2021.
The ET7 has an all-wheel-drive system that produces 480 kW of power and 850 Nm of torque. The engines at the front axle produce 180 kW and those at the rear axle 300 kW. The ET7 is said to be able to accelerate from 0 to 100 kph in 3.9 seconds.
The Nio ET7 has an estimated range of 500, 700, and 1,000 kilometers for the 70kWh, 100kWh and 150kWh battery options.
