NIO currently opening a job vacancy related to the manufacture of electric vehicles in the US. That has led to speculation the Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer will open a factory in the US, cnevpost reported.
The job vacancies opened by NIO are overseas manufacturing campus planning specialist, body process specialist for overseas projects, overseas planning and infrastructure specialist, and overseas logistics project manager.
Position Campus planning specialist has a job description responsible for two or more complete master plan projects with at least one in the US.
Candidates are required to know and understand US state policies, design codes and planning submission processes, and be familiar with US planning processes and master plan principles.
NIO currently has a self-driving R&D center in San Jose, California, as well as a software development team there.
NIO’s electric vehicle production is currently located at the JAC-NIO Advanced Manufacturing Base in Hefei, Anhui province. A second production facility at NeoPark in downtown China is under construction.
