The NIO ES7 is the first SUV built using the NT 2.0 platform and is projected to compete with the BMW X5L. Dimensionally, the NIO ES7 has a length, width and height of 4,912 mm, 1,987 mm and 1,720 mm, respectively, and a wheelbase of 2,960 mm.

All versions of the NIO ES7 are equipped with dual motors, including a front permanent magnet synchronous motor with a peak power of 180 kW and a rear asynchronous motor with a peak power of 300 kW.

NIO ES7 uses batteries with capacities of 70 kWh, 75 kWh and 100 kWh. The three batteries are the batteries currently circulating in the NIO battery swap system.

The 70-kWh battery pack gives 440 km of range, the 75-kWh package gives 485 km and 450 km of range, and the 100-kWh package provides 620 km and 575 km of range, respectively.
