Nio reported record monthly deliveries of 40,397 vehicles in October, surpassing the 40,000-unit mark for the first time as all three of its brands achieved growth. The result marked the Chinese electric vehicle (EV) maker’s third consecutive month of record-breaking performance.
Deliveries rose 92.6% from 20,976 units a year earlier and 16.3% from September’s 34,749 vehicles, according to data released by the company. The increase was driven by strong demand for the Nio main brand and continued momentum from its Onvo and Firefly sub-brands.

The Nio main brand delivered 17,143 vehicles in October, up 2.9% year-on-year and 24.9% from September, ending a five-month streak of year-on-year declines. The rebound was supported by strong sales of the third-generation ES8 SUV, which reached its 10,000th delivery just 40 days after its launch on September 21. Nio said production of the ES8 is expected to increase by 70% in November, with additional expansion planned for December.
The family-oriented Onvo sub-brand delivered 17,342 vehicles in October, its best performance to date and a 301.5% year-on-year increase. The brand’s growth was led by the Onvo L90 SUV, which reached 11,776 units for the month and surpassed 33,000 cumulative deliveries since its launch in late July. Onvo also marked its 110,000th delivery earlier today, signaling continued strong market acceptance.
