Mullen has recently announced a significant milestone in its partnership with the New York Power Authority (NYPA). Following the successful completion of an electric van pilot program, NYPA has decided to incorporate Mullen’s Campus Delivery Cargo Vans into its operational fleet. This marks Mullen’s entry into the Northeastern market, with a focus on providing environmentally friendly solutions for campus transportation.
The 60-day EV cargo van pilot, which commenced on July 6, 2023, and concluded in early September 2023, yielded positive results. Consequently, NYPA will introduce these initial pilot vehicles into its fleet operations at the St. Lawrence-Franklin D. Roosevelt Power Project.

This facility, NYPA’s inaugural active power plant dating back to 1958, will benefit from the inclusion of Mullen’s electric cargo vans. Furthermore, NYPA is actively exploring the potential adoption of Mullen’s complete range of commercial EVs, including Class 1 EV cargo vans and Class 3 EV cab chassis trucks, at various NYPA locations.
Mullen’s CAMPUS Delivery Van has been meticulously designed for optimal efficiency, particularly within low-speed, enclosed campus environments. As a fully battery-operated vehicle (BEV), it aligns seamlessly with NYPA’s mission to facilitate eco-friendly campus transportation while offering cargo capacity and operator comfort. This vehicle inherits the same genetic makeup as the Mullen ONE but has been purpose-built to cater to the unique requirements of micro-environments and campus settings.
