New Spy Shots Reveal Unmasked Details of Zeekr’s Upcoming SUV

Recent spy shots of the Zeekr CX1E have emerged, revealing the SUV shedding its heavy camouflage ahead of its anticipated debut later this year. While internally referred to as the CX1E, reports suggest it might adopt the name Zeekr Ark upon launch.

Designed as a mid-size SUV, the CX1E is positioned as a flagship in the Zeekr lineup, sharing a platform and design elements with the Zeekr 007. The vehicle features the distinctive Hidden Energy design language, characterized by a sleek, modern silhouette. Spy shots indicate slender LED daytime running lights and a lighting cluster similar to the smart light curtain found on the Zeekr 007, incorporating a 90-inch LED strip for interactive communication with other vehicles.

The profile of the CX1E reveals a rising waistline towards the rear, a roof spoiler, and distinct ducktail styling on the tailgate, complemented by through-type taillights. Interior glimpses show a large floating center screen, expected to be accompanied by an LCD instrument cluster and a multifunction steering wheel akin to the Zeekr 001.

Underpinning the CX1E is Geely’s Sustainable Electric Architecture (SEA) platform, making it the sixth model in the Zeekr lineup. The SUV is set to utilize an 800V architecture with silicon carbide motors, akin to those in the Zeekr 007, offering robust performance capabilities.

Battery options for the CX1E are anticipated to include Geely’s Golden battery or CATL’s Qilin battery, both supporting rapid charging and providing substantial driving ranges similar to the Zeekr 007.

Competing in the market against models like the Tesla Model Y, Denza N7, and Ford Mustang Mach E, the Zeekr CX1E is expected to be priced between 240,000 and 350,000 yuan (approximately 33,050 – 48,200 USD). Industry analysts predict its debut around the time of the Guangzhou Auto Show in November, marking a significant entry for Zeekr into the electric SUV segment.
