Kia will unveil its smallest and most affordable electric vehicle to date, the EV2, at the Brussels Motor Show next month, the South Korean automaker said, marking a key step in its strategy to widen access to electric mobility in Europe.
The EV2, a B-segment electric SUV, will sit below the recently launched EV3 as Kia’s new entry-level electric model. The vehicle will be produced at Kia’s European manufacturing plant in Zilina, Slovakia, a move the company said would help shorten delivery times and strengthen its regional supply chain.

“With the EV2, we reaffirm our commitment to make electric mobility truly accessible to a broader audience – without compromise,” said Marc Hedrich, President and Chief Executive of Kia Europe.
While Kia has not yet disclosed final pricing or detailed technical specifications, the EV2 is expected to be slightly smaller than the EV3, which measures about 4,300 mm in length. Industry expectations place the EV2 at around 4,000 mm, putting it close in size to compact urban electric vehicles. The design is expected to feature a more upright SUV stance, aligning it with Kia’s larger electric models such as the EV5 and EV9.

Kia said the EV2’s interior is inspired by what it described as “a picnic in the city,” featuring flexible seating and smart storage solutions aimed at urban drivers. Despite its compact size, the company said the cabin is designed to maximise space and practicality.
The EV3, which is already on sale in Europe, starts at around €36,000 ($42,000) and is offered with 58.3 kWh and 81.4 kWh battery options, delivering a WLTP driving range of up to 560 km. The EV2 is expected to be priced lower, with market estimates pointing to a starting price closer to €30,000 ($35,000), and likely to offer similar battery technology.
