The much-anticipated Cybertruck from Tesla has been making headlines once again, with recent sightings of what appears to be a production beta version. This comes after CEO Elon Musk revealed at the grand opening of Tesla’s Engineering HQ in Palo Alto that there were pre-production prototypes of the all-electric pickup truck available for employees to check out.
Aerial footage shared online over the weekend showcased the Cybertruck driving around what seems to be a parking area, providing a closer look at the vehicle in action. The distinctive angular side mirrors and dark wheels seen in the footage suggest that it is a production beta unit, similar to the Cybertruck spotted at the Palo Alto event.

Interestingly, the Cybertruck seen in the video had its tonneau cover fully closed, painted in black to provide a sharp contrast against the truck’s silver body. However, the vehicle appeared to have some issues with its wiring, as only one headlight was turned on while it was driving.
This is not the first time that the Cybertruck has faced issues with its lighting. At the Palo Alto event, one of the pre-production prototypes had only its rear left tail light engaged. Nonetheless, it appears that Tesla is pushing ahead with the vehicle’s development, and the first deliveries of the Cybertruck could be imminent.

Although the vehicle’s first deliveries have been delayed several times, it seems that production could begin as early as this summer. Assuming no further setbacks, the first group of Cybertruck owners could receive their all-electric pickups by the end of the year.
The Cybertruck’s unique design has drawn both admiration and criticism since its unveiling, but it is undoubtedly a significant milestone for the electric vehicle market. With its impressive range and capabilities, it is set to make a big impact in the world of pickup trucks, and it will be interesting to see how it performs in the hands of its owners.
