Chinese driving technology supplier Momenta has entered into a global strategic partnership with Dongfeng Stellantis Automotive Technology (Wuhan) Co Ltd (DSAT) to develop advanced driver assistance systems for new Peugeot and Jeep production vehicles.
The agreement was signed in Shanghai on September 24 and will cover vehicles intended for China, Europe and other international markets. Under the partnership, Momenta will use its R7 world model as a technology foundation for driver assistance systems developed jointly with DSAT.
Joint Development of Peugeot and Jeep Models
Momenta will participate in product definition and joint development for new Peugeot and Jeep models, with the driver assistance systems tailored to the respective brands’ driving characteristics.
The companies will combine their expertise in vehicle engineering and chassis tuning to optimize steering, braking and powertrain responses. The development will also account for Jeep’s off-road capabilities and Peugeot’s handling characteristics.
DSAT was jointly established by Dongfeng Motor, Stellantis and other partners.
New Energy Models Planned From 2027
Several new DSAT new energy vehicle models equipped with Momenta’s world model are scheduled to enter production from 2027.
The models will offer battery-electric and plug-in hybrid powertrain options and are intended for deployment in China and international markets.
Beyond production-vehicle ADAS, the partnership will also cover the development and deployment of autonomous driving technologies, including Level 3 systems.
DSAT General Manager Lv Haitao said the partnership would combine Peugeot’s driving dynamics and Jeep’s off-road capabilities with intelligent driving technology for deployment in China and overseas markets.

Momenta Expands International Automotive Partnerships
The agreement gives Momenta another route into overseas markets through the global sales networks of established automotive brands. The company has been expanding its production-vehicle business alongside its development of autonomous driving technologies.
Momenta said its solutions were installed in approximately 321,000 additional vehicles during the first half of the year, representing an 83.7% increase from the same period a year earlier, according to its interim report released on August 31.
By the end of June, cumulative installations had surpassed 1 million vehicles across 105 production models, while Momenta’s production-vehicle solutions covered 26 automakers.
The company also said vehicles equipped with its technology had been exported to 10 countries and regions.
R7 World Model as Technology Foundation
Momenta is developing its R7 world model as a shared technology foundation across its production-vehicle, robovan and robotaxi businesses.
Momenta CEO Cao Xudong said the DSAT agreement expands the company’s automotive partner network and reflects the growing role of Chinese AI technology in the development of intelligent vehicles globally.
Cao also said Momenta was preparing for an anticipated inflection point in the global advanced driver assistance market in 2028 and aimed to position the company ahead of that change.
