The Minerva race car broke the speed record for autonomous cars at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2022). Minverva self-driving racing car is known to be able to accelerate around 185 km / h.

This competition is deliberately presented to allow the improvement of self-driving technology capabilities. Not only that, the event was to see if the self-driving vehicle could handle maneuvers at high speed.

In response to this, Indy Autonomous Challenge (IAC) co-organizer Paul Mitchell explained that the autonomous car race was a success. So it is not impossible that in the future there will be an autonomous vehicle racing event that will let Formula 1 cars drive themselves.

Just like Formula 1 racing cars in general, these autonomous vehicles only have a single driver’s seat. But the chair is not for humans, but filled with electronic goods.

The self-driving race car is equipped with software that can quickly analyze data from sophisticated sensors. That way, this autonomous vehicle can anticipate how to maneuver while fighting with other cars.
