Green NCAP assesses vehicles based on three key criteria: Clean Air, Energy Efficiency, and Greenhouse Gas Emissions. As a fully-electric model, the MG5 EV excelled in the Clean Air tests, earning a perfect 10/10 score. In terms of Energy Efficiency, the vehicle received a commendable 9.2/10, with three out of four efficiency scores rated as ‘good,' the highest ranking, and the fourth narrowly missing the top grade.
The Greenhouse Gas Emissions tests yielded a score of 9.5/10, leading Green NCAP to confer the prestigious LCA Award to the MG5 EV. This accolade, given only to the best-performing Life Cycle Assessment (LCA)-assessed models, enables consumers to compare a car's environmental impact throughout its entire life cycle, encompassing manufacturing, usage, and end-of-life treatment.
