German car manufacturer, Mercedes-Benz launched the latest electric SUV with great power, namely the Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV.
Mercedes-Benz has finally launched a new line-up for their electric car, the EQE. This SUV is built from the same EVA2 chassis as the Mercedes-Benz EQS.
In appearance, this electric SUV has a design similar to the EQS, the headlights are LED projectors with connecting LED DRL lines. On the side, the design lines are low enough to confirm this is a coupe SUV.
The use of this design language makes this electric SUV has a drag coefficient of around 0.26. The use of 21 or 22-inch rims (depending on the variant) multi-spoke model with a dual-tone finish wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport EV tires. At the back, the design of the lamp model is connected and flat with LED technology.
Entering the interior, the design is similar to the EQE sedan with a 12.8-inch head unit screen, combined with a 12.3-inch instrument cluster display. The seats have been wrapped in Alcantara leather with a brown color combination.
Regarding power, this SUV has a variety of power outputs depending on the variant. Starting from the EQE 350+ variant, it has a single electric motor in the rear tire that produces 288 hp and 565 Nm of torque. Meanwhile, for the EQE 350 4Matic adds an electric motor on the front wheels that has a power output of 536 hp with 764 Nm of torque.
Then, for the Mercedes-AMG EQE variant, it uses a different electric motor and a special inverter that has a power output of up to 617 hp with 954 Nm of torque. If you are not satisfied, there is an optional AMG Performance Package which is capable of producing up to 677 hp with 999 Nm of torque. The manufacturer claims, this variant can go from 0-100 kph in just 3.4 seconds with a maximum speed of 240 kph.
For all variants, this electric motor is supported by a 90.6 kWh battery pack that can go as far as 550 km. For self-charging, Mercy provides a 170 kW DC fast charging package option that can charge 10 to 80% of the battery completely in 32 minutes. Meanwhile, the 240 volt wallbox charger package can charge 10-100 percent and takes 9.5 hours.
This electric SUV is equipped with adaptive suspension that can be adjusted to the driving mode (Sport & Sport+). About safety features and others, unfortunately the manufacturer has not disclosed it.
Mercedes-Benz EQE 2024 comes in several variants, namely 350+, 350 4Matic, 500 4Matic, and AMG EQE. About the price, unfortunately they did not mention. However, this new electric SUV will be present from mid-2023.
