Euro NCAP has just released the results of the Mercedes-Benz EQE crash test. The results were positive, getting 5 stars and almost perfect in several sectors.
NCAP conducted a crash test with an average speed of 32-60 kph. The simulation of front and side collisions shows that all airbags work perfectly, both front, side and center.
The position of the airbags also supports vital areas well, in order to minimize driver and passenger injuries. The NCAP also gave a score of 95% for adult protection, and 91% for child protection.
While the EQE braking assist sensor feature is able to detect pedestrians, cyclists, and even cars in front of it, both day and night conditions.
While the lane keeping assist system and road limits are also able to prevent the car from getting out of its lane. As a result, NCAP scored 83% for pedestrian protection, and 81% for safety features.
Mercedes EQE is indeed equipped with several safety features such as 7-point airbags, active brake assist, parking sensors with surround-view camera or 360 camera, blind spot assist and active lane keep assist.
