May Mobility and Moovit Partner to Offer Full Autonomous Public Transit Solution

May Mobility, a US-based autonomous vehicle (AV) technology developer, and Moovit, a leading Mobility as a Service (MaaS) solutions provider, are joining forces to offer a complete autonomous public transit solution. The partnership aims to provide commuters with a safe, accessible, and sustainable form of mobility in regions globally.

May Mobility’s AV fleets will work in tandem with Moovit’s urban mobility app and on-demand reservation and routing software to enable riders to plan, pay, and ride in shared AVs. Potential users will be able to view various public transit options, including May Mobility AVs, buses, or trains.

Moovit’s urban mobility app, which is available in over 3,500 cities across 112 countries, provides users with real-time information on multimodal trip planning for any mode of transportation.

May Mobility has completed over 320,000 autonomy-enabled rides in the past five years, including AV services in Minnesota, Michigan, and Texas.

May Mobility’s Co-founder and CEO, Edwin Olson, stated that partnering with industry leaders is a significant part of the company’s go-to-market strategy. Moovit is a trusted industry leader that serves over 1.7 billion riders globally, and their services and relationships will further enhance May Mobility’s ability to scale. The partnership between May Mobility and Moovit will expand to cover more geographic areas and leverage each other’s strengths to serve all passengers.
