The municipality of Maribor has expanded its electric bus fleet with the addition of four new 9.5-meter IVECO BUS E-WAY midibuses, reinforcing its commitment to sustainable mobility as part of European Mobility Week.
The new vehicles complement the existing E-WAY fleet already operating in the city, marking a key milestone in Maribor’s efforts to reduce emissions and promote cleaner urban transport.
Each midibus is fully accessible and can carry up to 64 passengers. The new units will serve lines P7, P17, and P19, joining a growing fleet that now totals 14 electric buses across five zero-emission routes.
The expansion also connects newly electrified lines to existing services on routes G5 and G6, helping to improve air quality and living conditions for residents.
The 9.5-meter-long and 2.33-meter-wide E-WAY midibuses are designed for agility and ease of navigation through Maribor’s narrow city streets.
With every emission-free kilometer, the city moves closer to its goal of creating a more livable and environmentally sustainable urban environment.
