On November 15, Lucid will unveil the latest trim levels of the Air electric sedan. At the event, the Air Pure trim will be revealed and a ceremony for the first delivery of the Air Touring trim will be held. The Touring and Pure represent a new price level that takes on other electric vehicles such as Tesla and Mercedes.
The new Air Pure trim starts at $89,050, though the company hasn’t released full specs yet. According to a Carscoops report, the Air Pure comes with a metal roof and motors on each axle that allow all-wheel drive. Lucid’s website says the Air Pure will have up to 480 hp (357 kW) and a range of 406 miles (653 Km).
Meanwhile, the Touring model that will be delivered, comes with a base price of $109,050. The Air Touring is in direct competition with the Tesla Model S for $106,440 and the Mercedes EQS for a base price of $105,550. The Air Touring also gets a glass roof and up to 620 hp (462 kW).
Air Touring also has access to Lucid DreamDrive Pro driving assistance software. More details about Touring will be released at the event.
“The online event will also feature exciting announcements about the Lucid business and future models, including the Project Gravity SUV that reimagines the luxury SUV with the same in-house-developed technology that underpins the groundbreaking Lucid Air,” the automaker said on its website .
The launch event that took place in the Beverly Hills area on November 15 was open to the public and for the first time the five Air trim levels namely Pure, Touring, Grand Touring, Grand Touring Performance and Sapphire will be on display together.
