Lucid Air set for European Market in June or July

Earlier this year Lucid revealed plans to expand to Europe in 2022. A recent report from Autocar suggested the Lucid Air could launch for markets outside North America by the middle of the year.

Citing a company spokesman who asked not to be named, said Lucid would start exporting Air to Europe and the Middle East in “June or July,” followed by further expansion into China in 2023.

Another employee said Germany, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Italy, Monaco, Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and Norway will get Lucid Air first.

Meanwhile, customers in the UK have to wait a little longer because they have to wait for the right-hand drive version. The configuration for this right-hand drive is expected to begin later this year, with deliveries starting sometime in 2023. The report does not detail the Lucid Air pricing in Europe for the Lucid Air.

Meanwhile for the Middle East market, Lucid has just announced a substantial order for 100,000 electric vehicles from the Saudi government. Under the agreement, the Saudi Arabian government committed to purchase 50,000 electric vehicles from Lucid, with the option to purchase an additional 50,000 vehicles over a ten-year period.
