After an extensive wait of over a year, the long-anticipated LiveWire S2 Del Mar electric motorcycle has finally unveiled its comprehensive specifications. This nascent electric motorcycle company emerged as a result of Harley-Davidson’s internal e-motorcycle development and is now ready to disclose the complete details of its new bike to the public.

While some details of the upcoming motorcycle had previously been disclosed, such as an estimated power rating of approximately 80 horsepower (60 kW) and a city range of around 100 miles (160 km), the latest information surpasses these initial expectations. The S2 Del Mar will feature an impressive power output of 84 hp (63 kW) and a torque of 194 ft-lb or 263 newton-meters. Its acceleration from 0 to 60 mph (0 to 96 km/h) has been further optimized, achieving an impressive time of 3.0 seconds, shaving off 0.1 seconds from the original estimate. Additionally, riders can expect the motorcycle to reach a top speed of 103 mph (166 km/h) when fully unleashed.

The LiveWire S2 Del Mar, weighing in at 436 lb (198 kg), boasts an extended city range of 113 miles (181 km), providing even greater convenience for urban riding. However, when cruising on the highway at 55 mph (88 km/h), the range reduces to 70 miles (113 km). Furthermore, sustained high-speed riding at 70 mph (113 km/h) will limit the range to 43 miles (69 km).

Revealing the battery’s specifications, the LiveWire S2 Del Mar possesses a 10.5 kWh capacity, aligning precisely with previous estimations based on thorough test rides conducted last year.

Charging the bike using the LiveWire S2 Del Mar’s J1772 plug provides efficient results. A Level 2 charge will replenish the battery from 20% to 80% within a mere 1.3 hours, while a full charge from 0% to 100% takes approximately 2.4 hours. Opting for a Level 1 connection, which utilizes a typical home electrical outlet, will yield the same outcomes in 5.9 hours and 8.4 hours, respectively.

Built on a modular cast aluminum frame, the upcoming electric motorcycle showcases the innovative ARROW architecture, wherein the battery box itself predominantly replaces the traditional “frame” concept. Additionally, the bike boasts a cast aluminum swingarm, Brembo Monobloc brakes, Showa suspension, 10-spoke cast aluminum 19″ wheels, and a 4-inch round TFT display serving as the gauges. For convenient charging of accessories, USB-C ports are incorporated, and LiveWire’s app offers supplementary features like navigation and over-the-air updates. The LiveWire S2 Del Mar comes with a comprehensive 2-year unlimited warranty and a 5-year warranty specifically covering the battery.
