Li Auto has achieved a significant milestone, reaching 800,000 cumulative deliveries, the company announced today. This milestone comes 54 months after the delivery of its inaugural vehicle, marking a notable achievement for the Chinese extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) manufacturer.
Founded in July 2015, Li Auto quickly established itself as a key player in the EREV market in China. The company’s first model, the Li One EREV, debuted in October 2018, with deliveries commencing in December 2019. However, the Li One has since been discontinued, and Li Auto now focuses on its L-series EREV models, including the Li L6, Li L7, Li L8, and Li L9.

Despite its initial success with the Li One, Li Auto faced challenges with its first battery electric vehicle (BEV), the Li Mega MPV, which launched on March 1. The Li Mega’s underperformance led to limited sales and prompted Li Auto to delay the launch of three new BEV models until the first half of 2025.
Li Auto’s journey to 800,000 deliveries has been marked by several milestones. The company achieved its 100,000th delivery in November 2021, followed by its 200,000th delivery in August 2022 and its 500,000th delivery in September 2023. Initially, the company had planned to launch three additional BEV models later in 2024, with expectations of up to 800,000 deliveries for the full model year.

However, following the challenges with the Li Mega, Li Auto has adjusted its sales forecast. In an investor meeting on March 22, the company announced a revised sales forecast of 560,000-640,000 deliveries, down from its original projection of 650,000-800,000, as reported by local media outlet 21jingji.
