Leapmotor  announced  that the 10,000th unit of its new B01 electric sedan has rolled off the production line, less than a week after the model’s official launch on July 24. The company described the production pace as a new internal record.

According to Leapmotor, the B01 received 10,132 locked-in orders within 72 hours of its debut, with the long-range 650-kilometer version emerging as the top choice among buyers.

More than 70% of early adopters selected this version, which also features LiDAR for enhanced smart driving capabilities. Company executive Cao Li stated that 72% of the initial customer base is under the age of 35.

The B01 starts at RMB 89,800 (approximately $12,510) and is available in six variants with ranges of 430 km, 550 km, and 650 km, based on the China Light-Duty Vehicle Test Cycle (CLTC). The top-tier versions equipped with LiDAR technology are also the most expensive in the lineup.

Leapmotor currently offers a mix of battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and extended-range electric vehicles (EREVs) in its domestic market. The T03, B01, and B10 are sold exclusively as BEVs, while other models like the C01, C10, C11, and C16 also offer EREV versions. The company is planning to expand its offerings further with a new D-series lineup, starting with a full-size SUV.
